Ali and Rob opened Nest in 2012 after moving here from Birmingham. Their vision was to open a quaint shop featuring products and jewelry from local and regional artists. Ali and Rob have always loved the home decor industry and when they moved to South Walton it seemed like the perfect time to open up shop. Now, they get to do what they love - selling the warm, friendly, cottage style, cozy things they adore.

Nest carries furniture, home décor items, pillows, candles, gifts, frames, art, and more. Nest is totally unpretentious, and it gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling when you walk in. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the smells, colors, and textures in Nest.

Ali likes the products Nest carries to have a story – a positive message. Nest has some very unique items like the African baskets made by women in Senegal. These women have supported their families for generations by hand-weaving these baskets.

Two Girls and a Goat Soap line was started by two girls who made soap as homemade Christmas gifts for their families. Now they sell their product all over the country. Tyler Amundsen and Tim Ryan make the 30Alphabet using photographs of the structures, shapes, and nature of Scenic 30A. Nest also carries a beautiful pottery line by Eric Botbyl. Some of the other artists in Nest include, Lenee Mills, Shelley Minchew, Sally Powell, and Elmore DeMott.

Ali also likes to keep Nest stocked with small items for people who want to take something home with them, but don’t have much room. Nest is the perfect place to pick up a candle, homemade soap, hand towels, hand-loomed Turkish towels, or a handmade leather journal by Written Treasures. The jewelry lines at Nest are also very unique; including the Thallo line, made from plants and flowers and dipped in 24-carat gold and Ellen Hayes’ dainty line from Tennessee - 14-carat gold filled with gem stones.

Nest will soon be adding more bath products like shower curtains, towels, and rugs. After seeing a need in South Walton, Ali decided to expand the products at Nest. Nest is a beautiful shop filled with items that would make any home lovely and inviting.
Ali recently expressed, “One of the things that I enjoy the most about owning Nest is that we get to meet so many great people. We appreciate our customers and enjoy meeting and getting to know every single one of them. We are blessed to have met so many great artists and talented people who make our Nest a unique place to shop in the 30A area."
