RUN/SUP Holiday Race Series at The BoatHouse Paddle Club

November 21, 2017 by SoWal Staff

Run/SUP Holiday Series will take place at The BoatHouse Paddle Club in WaterColor on two Saturdays during the holidays.

The first holiday RUN/SUP Race will be held the Saturday, Nov. 25. The other race will be held on Saturday, Dec. 30. Online registration is open at runsup.com.

The RUN/SUP holiday races comprise of a one mile trail run and a one mile stand up paddle board (SUP) competition. The race starts from the BoatHouse Paddle Club, RUN/SUP’s flagship location in WaterColor, Florida. The participants will transition from a trail run to a stand up paddle board onto Western Lake. Western Lake is a coastal dune lake known for flat water paddling conditions.

The holiday race series is an extension of the RUN/SUP spring and summer race series that has grown in popular demand over the past two years. In summer and spring of 2017, the race series doubled participation over 2016. RUN/SUP founder Tom Losee will officiate both holiday races.

“We absolutely love hosting the RUN/SUP races and look forward to some friendly family competition over the holidays,” says Losee. Losee has been a lifelong runner and a pioneer of stand up paddle boarding. Losee has fine-tuned RUN/SUP for a wide audience, ranging from ages 7 to 70.
