Second Annual Furry Fest at Gulf Place Feb 21

The Second Annual Furry Fest will transform Gulf Place into a haven for pets and animal lovers alike on Feb. 21 from 10 a.m.-3p.m. Throughout the day, guests and pets will enjoy agility demonstrations, cake strutt, 30A Dance Wave Performance, pet parade, costume contest, races, the beagle strutt, Kid Zone with bounce house, and live entertainment by The Screamin' Fleas.
 
Guests may enter to win a raffle with wonderful prizes. Tickets are $5 each or 15 tickets for $20. All proceeds from the raffle benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge and HEART Animal Rescue. Adoptable dogs will also be on location during Furry Fest in hopes of finding their forever homes.

Pet costume contest prizes to be awarded for Furriest Human Costume/Furriest Dog Costume (look-a-like), Furriest Dog in Costume (Big and Small), Cutest Dog (Big and Small), and Most Creative Costume (Big and Small). 
 
Mardpaws Competition Agility Training will also have an agility course to run for a donation of $3 and all proceeds go to Alaqua and HEART. Training tips and free Kona fur will be available to the first 1000 visitors.

H.E.A.R.T Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for homeless pets in our communities through helping with adoptions from shelters, community awareness, food pantry, spay and neuter program and fostering and caring for companion animals until loving homes can be found.
