South Walton Makes Picture-Perfect Weddings

February 9, 2012 by Marla Burns

For many ‘brides-to-be” yearning for the perfect place to stage their weddings, the secret is out about the great options South Walton has to offer. Some of the local venues in our little piece of paradise have already won well deserved accolades from the likes of Southern Living Magazine, The Wedding Wire and The Knot, to name a few.

From beach to bay, from simple to elegantly extravagant, South Walton provides the picturesque backdrop for one of life’s happiest milestones. From a quaint chapel to a rustic state park, a bay front ballroom, or lake side lawn, even a sunset cruise is among the myriad of settings to choose from when planning one’s special day.

SoWal.com has among its featured partners, some of the most unique venues in our area where a happy couple may want to investigate hosting their nuptials. For instance, Hibiscus Coffee & Guest House offers an intimate gathering spot in their ‘Backyard of Love’, complete with catering, audio system, and even rooms to rent in their charming Guest House. Or, Gulf Place Weddings offers an array of wedding and event venues. They have an expansive green in their Town Center, as well as pools and restaurants all within a short stroll to the beach.

This year, our area is fortunate to host such events as The Modern Bridal Expo on Sunday, February 19, at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, one of South Walton’s premier locations for weddings, and named in The Knot for “Best of Weddings in 2012”.

Destination wedding experts gathered in one location for this expo will offer one-on-one meetings with the area’s leading wedding vendors. This will be a great opportunity for wedding planning couples to garner ideas and shape their upcoming event.

Among other options to explore, Rosemary Beach Weddings, Eden State Gardens Weddings, Seaside or WaterColor Weddings, are all great places to start. There are numerous florists, photographers, videographers, caterers, all with an exceptional talent for bringing the romance of South Walton’s beautiful beaches to the personal nature of one’s special wedding event.

Locals and visitors alike can browse SoWal.com’s business and wedding guides for a wealth of helpful information to plan wedding festivities. Come visit us often and feel free to comment on your findings. We always like to hear from you.
