March 27, 2015 by Teresa Lischka

Emerald Coast Hydrobikes is hosting a brunch cruise on the Choctawhatchee Bay on Sundays starting March 29. Cruisers will meet up at Tom's Landing in Point Washington for a unique adventure on hydrobikes across the Choctawhatchee Bay to The Bay restaurant for Sunday brunch including Chicken and Waffles. The cruise to the waterfront restaurant takes about 30 minutes. The day's event is 3-4 hours on the water and at The Bay.

The cost is $60 per person and includes your hydrobike rental, brunch and a drink (gratuity not included). You must reserve your spot by Saturday at 5pm. Call 850-598-7949 or email tami@echydrobikes.com.

Here's the Cruise/Brunch schedule:
Meet at Tom's Landing at 10am and take off by 10:30am.
Enjoy a leisurely hydrobike ride along the bay.
Arrive at The Bay by 11am.
Enjoy brunch, have a drink, relax on the deck or enjoy the beach and water.
Return to Tom's Landing by 2pm.

Sunday cruises to The Bay will take place every Sunday throughout the season except Easter Sunday and Mother's Day.

Tami Reinhart owns and operates Emerald Coast Hydrobikes in Santa Rosa Beach. She's excited about plans for the weekly cruise. She says, "This cruise is easy, fun and a perfect way for almost anyone to experience a sample of all that the Choctawhatchee Bay has to offer."

Tami adds, "As much as we love to share outdoor experiences with people, I have to confess that this particular trip was inspired by The Bay's Chicken and Waffles. They are that good. Throw in some fresh air, water and a view...it just doesn't get any better".

Tom's Landing is located at 78 Ricker Avenue in Point Washington. From Hwy 98 and Hwy 331 go East to the next light (County Hwy 283 - Bay Drive). Turn left and go north to Ricker Avenue. Turn left and take the first driveway on the right.

For kids not quite tall enough for pedalling the hydrobike (needs to be nearly 5 feet tall), a tandem bike can be attached to parent. For smaller children, please discuss with the super nice folks at Emerald Coast Hydrobikes for recommendations.
