WaterSound West Beach is Red Hot

No more than just a couple of years ago, WaterSound West Beach was an extremely promising, yet struggling development. It's a beautiful and bustling gulf front neighborhood with lots of building going on. It's sandwiched between the west side of better-known WaterSound Beach and the eastern end of Seagrove Beach.

Even though the community offers a beautiful natural environment which blends exquisitely with massive dunes and a wide secluded beach, lots just weren’t selling. Today however, WaterSound West Beach is finally coming into its own and the initial vision is becoming clear, thanks to a large increase in sales and an ever-growing buzz.


Between its inception and 2009, only around 30 of the 200 available lots in WaterSound West Beach had sold. Prices fell from the $700,000s to as low as the $100,000s in 2009, and many questioned investing in the development and considered other options.

Even with the market in the rocky condition it was, real estate investors, developers and buyers still continued to root for WaterSound West Beach- no doubt because of the excellent potential it offered. Even though it's a bit of a hike to the beach it is a nature lover's paradise. On the walk to the beach is a long boardwalk across a peaceful pond surrounded by coastal pine forest.


And sure enough, as the market crept back to life and building on Scenic 30A started to come back slowly but surely, WaterSound West Beach was back in business. In 2012 alone there were 43 sales including both homes and lots – with prices ranging from $142,500 to $300,000 for lots and $448,100 to $724,900 for custom-crafted homes.

These days, WaterSound West Beach is one of the most desirable locations for buyers who are looking to either build or purchase a dream home, and lots are selling consistently. Prices are obviously a little higher as it becomes more of a sellers' market, but it is still a fantastic time to be a buyer and there are some great WaterSound West deals to be found!
