Dune Lake

Lake Powell

Powell Lake straddles Walton County and Bay County and borders much of Camp Helen State Park on the gulf side and the development of Wild Heron on the north side. It is the largest of the coastal dune lakes in Walton County and allows motorboats and jet skis. Access the lake at Camp Helen State Park, county park at N. Walton Lakeshore Drive, or the Lake Powell boat ramp in Bay County. Approx 800 acres.

Eastern Lake

Eastern Lake is in Seagrove Beach and small motorboats are allowed. It is the most developed lake with many private homes and condos along the shores. Old Florida Fish House offers lakeside dining. There is a public boat ramp at the county park on Lakewood Drive and a county beach access at the outfall on South Gulf Drive & Eastern Lake Road. Approx 62 acres.

Western Lake

Western Lake stretches between Grayton Beach and WaterColor. It's one of the larger coastal dune lakes with extensive marsh and connected wetlands. Small motorboats are allowed on the town side and you might see an occasional water skiier. Much of Grayton Beach State Park surrounds Western Lake with a boat ramp offering launch point, canoe, and kayak rentals. Within the park there are trails along the lake, picnic shelters, and abundant wildlife. In the town of Grayton Beach the lake can be accesses at the beach, and there is a public boat ramp just down from the Red Bar on Hotz Avenue.

Big Redfish lake

Big Redfish Lake stretches across Scenic 30A from Redfish Village development to the gulf in the Old Blue Mountain Beach subdivision. Sanctuary at Redfish and Sanctuary By The Sea are two large condo developments on the north shore. Approx 22 acres.

Draper Lake

Draper Lake is behind gates and surrounded by several private developments - Old Florida Beach, The Retreat, and Draper Lake. It can be seen from Scenic 30A with a distinctive steel bridge on the bike path. Approx 38 acres.
