On Wednesday, November 19, George’s at Alys Beach will host a Wine & Swine dinner highlighting pork in all its forms. For each of the four courses, Executive Chef Darek Tidwell will collaborate with a different culinary team member to present a seasonal, pork-centric dish. Sommelier Jake Purvis worked with John Ireland, Partner and East Coast Sales Director of Pali Wines, to select pairings for each course.
The first annual Fleets and Eats event benefiting the Emerald Coast Autism Center will take place on Nov. 13 along the Destin Harbor. The event will involve charter boats transporting guests to local restaurants along the harbor for a progressive dinner.
Another Broken Egg Cafe (ABEC) celebrated the Grand Opening of its 39th location on Oct. 24 in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. The upscale 4,500-square-foot Southern-inspired breakfast, lunch and brunch restaurant seats 110 guests inside and an additional 40 on the “al-fresco” style patio. According to President and Founder, Ron Green, the new location of ABEC created 30 new jobs in the area.
The Taylor Haugen Foundation will hold the 5th annual Savor The Season fundraiser at Caliza in Alys Beach on Thursday, November 6 from 5:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m. This culinary experience has grown to become one of the most popular events in South Walton, Florida.

Here's to Beer! Mmmmmmm beer! Beer lovers unite! Sunny skies and good times are predicted for the upcoming Baytowne Beer Festival at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. The two day festival includes a beer bingo walkabout on Friday, October 17 and a craft beer tasting with more than 200 selections on Saturday, October 18.
On Friday at 6 p.m. guests can participate in the first Beer Bingo at the Village and have the chance to win several great prizes; such as a custom YOLO board, Grizzly cooler, free fly board session from Power Up Sports, Adventure Zone gift card and more.
Fall is the season for celebrating food and wine in South Walton. Restaurant Paradis in Rosemary Beach embraces the season with a Clos Du Val wine dinner on Friday, November 7 at 6:30pm. The evening kicks off with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. followed by a four course dinner with wine pairings at 7pm.
