Walton County Animal Shelter
Finding a home for animals brought to the shelter is not a job for the Walton County Sheriff’s office, but it is their passion. Many times, animals who do have homes are brought to the shelter. Unfortunately, their owners do not know where to look for them. Animals obtained by Walton County Animal Control are taken to the animal shelter to be held until they are reunited with their families. If no one claims them as a lost pet within seven days, they become available for adoption.
Adoption fees are nominal at &$55, and include spay or neutering, rabies vaccinations, heartworm tests (not treatment) and first series of booster vaccines.
If you are interested in adopting an animal, you should arrive bright and early, the first day the pet is available for adoption.
Open Tuesday – Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.
You can stay in the know by following their Facebook page for current information, and adoption events.
