Apple Classic 5K & 10K Race at Hammock Bay

Walton Education Foundation (WEF) proudly presents the 9th Annual Apple Classic 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run in the community neighborhood of the beautiful Hammock Bay in Freeport, Florida on February 8, 2020 at 9 am. Registration: https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/Freeport/9thAnnualAppleClassic5kand1MileatHammockBay

Apple Classic Participants:
Apple Classic 5K course is certified and the event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
Start/Finish Line is at the Town Square/Village Green where visitors can cheer runners as they cross the line.
Our 5K Course is an out and back 1 turn-around course on the main road in and out of the Hammock Bay neighborhood.
Participants will receive a Long Sleeve Dri-fit T-Shirt, a Race Bag and for those runners over the age of 21, a beer from Grayton Beer.

New this year:1 Mile fun run for 5th grade and under only!

Anyone registering after January 15th will receive shirts while supplies last. The shirt order will be placed on January 15th and when the inventory runs out in the RunSignUp system then there will be no more shirts. No re-orders.

Open Course - Rain or Shine! Dogs welcome, strollers welcome, bring the whole family! Don’t want to run — feel free to walk at your leisure or participate virtually!!

We will be presenting 3 school participation awards for the most people running for an Elementary, Middle & High School in Walton County. Represent and win for your school, your kid’s school or your alma mater!

The Walton Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 1995 by a rising need for support specific to teachers in Walton County.  The Foundation has grown to not only help all teachers in Walton County, but to expand its impact and support teachers, their students and schools.  The Foundation provides annual giving and volunteer opportunities that directly serve our students, teachers and schools through a series of educational programs and grants.
