Walton County Coastal Branch Library sponsors “Winter Community Programs” Wednesdays, Jan 8th – March 4th 2020 at 10:00 am. Winter Community Programs are designed for our adult community and families having educational and entertaining value while learning about our community and neighbors. Sponsored by Friends of Coastal Library.
Program brochures will be available at the Coastal library and the schedule will be posted on the Walton County Coastal Calendar website at www.youseemore.com/walton/coastal.
Jan 22 | Historian - The Old East Pass and the Lighthouse Keepers
Destin historian and author Hank Klein tells the story of the OLD East Pass – the inlet from the Gulf of Mexico to Choctawhatchee Bay located at Destin, Florida.Learn about the lights that used to guide mariners into the old pass and the Destin fisherman who were its light keepers.
South Walton Coastal Branch Library hosts year round events such as book sales, community programs and lectures, children's story time, chess, tai chi, meditation and other classes open to the community. Stop in to see works of a local artist on display each month.
