Destin Bayou, Bay & Back 1 Mile Kids Fun Run, 5K, 10K & Half Marathon

Destin's 5th Bayou, Bay & Back 1-Mile Kids Fun Run, 5K Run/Walk, 10K & Half Marathon is set for Saturday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 a.m. at Clement Taylor Park. The 10K and Half Marathon courses are USA Track & Field-certified. While all courses are set alongside Destin waterways, the half marathon course yields breathtaking views of the Choctawhatchee Bay, Destin Harbor, and East Pass, as it leads you through Destin, along a 4-mile undeveloped stretch of Okaloosa Island, and back.
 
Race Times
7:30 a.m. - Half Marathon begins
8:30 a.m. - 5K/10K begins
10:30 a.m. - 1-Mile Fun Run begins
10:45 a.m. - Awards Ceremony begins
 
Registration
The 1-Mile Fun Run is $20 and is open to ages 12 and under. The 5K and 10K are $30 through Jan. 23, and $35 on race day. The half marathon is $60 through Jan. 23, and $70 on race day. Registration is available on www.Active.com until Jan. 21, at midnight. T-shirts are guaranteed to first 500 registrants.
 
Registration will also be available at Clement Taylor Park, from 6 - 8 a.m., for the 5K, 10K & Half Marathon, and until 10 a.m., for the 1-Mile Kids Fun Run.
 
Download the race brochure, which can be completed and faxed to (850) 654-5612 or mailed to the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce at 4484 Legendary Drive, Suite A, Destin, FL 32541. Registration form must be received by the Chamber before Friday, Jan. 23, or it may be brought to the race site the morning of the race. The race is sponsored by Shoreline Church and benefits Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance.
