Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade & Pumpkin Drop at Alys Beach

​Bring your four legged friends to the Amphitheatre at Alys Beach on Friday, October 18th from 4-6pm for the annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade & Pumpkin Drop benefiting Alaqua Animal Refuge. There is a $5 entry fee per dog to participate in the Parade. A prize will be awarded for Best Owner Dog Duo and the team at Alys Beach will drop a giant pumpkin filled with sweet treats for the kids. 

Alaqua Animal Refuge, an independent, nonprofit organization located on Florida’s Emerald Coast, advocates the general welfare and humane treatment of animals by providing shelter, prevention of pet overpopulation and adoption services. Located on 10 acres in the town of Freeport, the refuge was formed by Walton County, Fla.-resident Laurie Hood in 2007 when she discovered that countless animals were being euthanized due to the lack of a no-kill shelter/adoption organization in the area. ​

Alys Beach is a must stop along the eastern end of Scenic 30A. It's a sight to behold and easily walkable with unique architecture and lush landscaping. Look for the iconic butteries flanking each end of town and then you'll know you've arrived to one of SoWal's great shopping and dining destinations. Park your car or bikes at the amphitheater with a large green space and dancing fountain for the kids to play while you check out the Alys Shoppe, George's Restaurant, Neat bottle shop & tasting room, Charlies' Donut Truck, Piper's Kitchen, Caliza Restaurant, Raw & Juicy cafe, nature trails and more shops and places along the way. alysbeach.com
