Pottery on the Wheel for Adults at Bayou Arts Center

The Bayou Arts Center is excited to host Pottery on the Wheel for Adults Saturdays from 9 - 11:30AM. Discover the soothing effects of clay first-hand with experienced ceramic teachers. Classes are geared to the beginner, but offer expanded skills to the continuing student.

CLICK HERE to purchase tickets. Limit of three students per course. $225/six-week course, includes the first 25-lb. bag of clay.

Students will examine an array of wheel-thrown pottery techniques during this six-week course. The focus is on basic throwing skills as well as glazing, decorations, and firing of work.

The Bayou Arts Center is located at 105 Hogtown Bayou Lane off County Road 393 North in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) offers a dynamic collection of weekly workshops throughout the year. All classes are open to the public to reserve.  Classes take place at the Bayou Arts Center on Hogtown Bayou Lane, a picturesque setting on the water among the marshes sure to inspire any artist, novice or experienced.

The year long class schedule includes, but is not limited to watercolor, pastel, drawing, photography, zentagle, ice dying, glass mosaics, portraits and figure drawing. Nationally renowned artists travel to South Walton specifically for the purpose of sharing their talent with our community by teaching classes.
