Rotary Club Destin Cajun Crawfish Bash
The Rotary Club of Destin will host its 7th annual Cajun Crawfish Bash on Friday, May 3rd from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Mezcal Mexican Grill inside The Towne Centre at Seascape.
Event proceeds benefit young families in need through Food For Thought, Harvest House, Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation’s community outreach initiatives and The Destin Rotary Scholarship Fund.
The public is invited to join in the Cajun festivities. The fun event is suitable for families and folks of all ages. Fresh crawfish from Louisiana will be dished up with the traditional potatoes and corn on the cob. For those who don’t crave crawfish, there will also be grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and rotisserie chicken prepared fresh on-site.
The Rotary Club of Destin is known for serving up the best Cajun crawfish, libations and live music. Back by popular demand is Fais Do-Do Band performing their unique genre of zydeco music. Integrating a blend of R&B, soul, brass band, reggae, hip hop, ska, rock and Afro-Caribbean, you are guaranteed to be dancing!
Tickets are now on sale. Adult tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Youth tickets (Age 4-11) are available at the gate for $10, Children 3 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
Community support makes a tremendous impact in helping those less fortunate put food on their tables through Food for Thought and Harvest House. The Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast inspires and empowers all young people to achieve their full potential and improves the lives of all Emerald Coast youth. In addition, the Rotary Club of Destin awards multiple scholarships annually to deserving high school graduates, providing financial assistance for them to attend colleges and universities across the country.
The Rotary Club of Destin represents over 50 business women and men who are committed to “Service Above Self” and whose mission is to positively change lives through service…across the street and around the world with emphasis on eradicating hunger and supporting education in our community and internationally. The Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. at Rutherford’s 465 at Regatta Bay Golf & Country Club.
