Sign the Affidavit for Customary Use! Area Events
South Walton Locals & Visitors! Submit your written affidavit to show your support for Customary Use of our beaches! Florida Beaches For All has created pop up notary stations so that residents can submit affidavits, photographs, and documentation about how they have used the beaches for decades. Affidavits must be submitted by September 8. The group has collected 2,300+ affidavits so far. They hope to get at least 10,000. Labor Day weekend is a great opportunity for an affidavit blitz all around town.
Stop by one of the public beach accesses or one of many local businesses listed below. Volunteers are working throughout the Labor Day weekend at dozens of local spots for an affidavit blitz! Each place will have affidavits available and a notary free of charge. Sign the affidavit to help us take the beach back. Also, please plan to attend a public forum held by Walton County Board of County Commissioners at South Walton High School at 9am where will have a public hearing to affirm customary use and draft an ordinance.
