Food For Thought now has five ways to provide hunger relief - weekly backpacks during the school year for students receiving free or reduced lunches to close the gap of missed meals over the weekend, monthly snacks provided to teachers in schools receiving Food For Thought services to fight immediate signs of hunger, holiday services to help feed families in need during long breaks from school including summer, garden initiatives at select schools and at the Destin Pantry, and now the Full Circle Kitchen to help provide skills and additional sources of food to some of the most at-risk students in Okaloosa and Walton counties.
Our goal this year is 300K food items! Last year teams and individuals collected over 227K food items, so let's work together to get to our goal!
Enjoy the party with light bites and refreshments. $5 Entry Fee or 5 Food Items

Tiffanie Nelson, founder and Executive Director, has found a way to restock her organization’s supplies in time for the fast approaching school year while bringing the community together in a family-friendly environment. The event was such a success in its first year that the organization has continued the annual fundraiser and loves the annual food drive competition.
Food For Thought is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Santa Rosa Beach, FL that provides backpacks filled with healthy, easy to prepare food for students who are dependent on free or reduced school meals. Food For Thought has been working to fight child hunger since 2010, and in the 2017-2018 school year will serve 29 schools in Walton and Okaloosa Counties, providing backpacks for 2,500 students each week.
