Tee Up for Autism Golf Tournament
South Walton Academy is raising awareness for students on the Autism Spectrum one swing at a time. The school is hosting their inaugural 2017 Tee Up for Autism Golf Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 9 am at Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club. Teams and individuals alike are in for a fun day of golf, food, entertainment and prizes. Proceeds will benefit South Walton Academy, a new non-profit inclusion school—the first of its kind in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Register individual or team online at southwaltonacademy.com.
Sponsorships for the 2017 Tee Up for Autism Golf Tournament are still available and there are many ways to become involved. Sponsor a Child for $110, Donate a Raffle Prize, Sponsor A Hole for $100, or Sponsor an Event such as Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. Each sponsor will be mentioned in the program, and those sponsoring and event or a hole will have a Tee Box Sign placed at the hole. Volunteers are also needed for the day of the event.
Teams of four can sign up for $375, and individuals can play for $100. Register in advance at www.SouthWaltonAcademy.com. Players will also be able to register in person the day of the event. For more information on how to become a sponsor or volunteer, please contact Jennifer Filippone at 850-687-9789 or email email@example.com.
South Walton Academy's goal is to help every child be successful and with that some children need accommodations. Proceeds from the golf tournament and brunch will be used to purchase write well mats, an elevated piece of equipment that helps with both reading and writing. The school also has an immediate need for playground equipment, such as a swing set and slide.
