The Art of Entertaining at The Pearl: Pickles, Preserves and Conserves with Executive Chef Matt Moore

In this class, you will learn the difference between preserves, gastriques, jams and brines. Learn how to preserve fruits and vegetables using vinegar, brine and/or sugar. Touch on safety and sanitation in home-canning and discover simple preserving techniques. Complete the class by taking home jars of the jams and pickles you’ve made.
Arrive on time and wear comfortable shoes- as you will be on your feet most of the night. All events are held in the Hemmingway Room at The Pearl.
