Nationally hailed as “an inspiration,” and “magic for the twenty-first century,” Jeanette Andrews presents a new and thought-provoking take on the art of the impossible. Jeanette presented her first magic show at age four, began performing professionally at age six, and now as a full-time magician, she has performed for thousands across the country live and countless others on television. Jeanette comes to the REP fresh off of performances the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and her world premiere of Thresholds commissioned by the national landmark Pleasant Home museum. She was a 2014 Escape to Create Artist in Residence in Seaside, the only magician worldwide to have ever been named to an artist in residence position.

Magic for kids return to Seaside REP Theatre this summer with two workshops on Fridays grouped by younger and older ages. What a great introduction to magic for children with all supplies included. Jeanette Andrews presented her first magic show at age four and performed her first paid show at the age six. Join Jeanette in this class as she teaches some of the first magic tricks that she ever performed. Effects taught in these classes are special pieces of magic, specifically chosen for their uniqueness to this class and students will learn several age-appropriate magic tricks. Whether you attended class last year or it’s your first time, you’ll come away with great new knowledge and confidence in your magic! Fridays at 2pm (age 5-7) and 3pm (age 8-14).
