Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: Art in the Park

Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for the monthly Art in the Park classes. Local artist, Carol Dickson offers attendees the opportunity to create their own work of art using a different technique each class. Fees include all materials needed. Regular park admission applies and is paid at the ranger station on the day of class. Class is from 9:00 a.m. til 12:00 p.m. For details and to register go tohttps://www.topsailparkfriends.org

Friday August 9: Basket Weaving 

All classes need a minimum of 5 participants to occur. Classes are limited to 10 participants. Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Registration is open until 3 days before the class or until the class is sold out, whichever comes first. Register online. Cancellations are accepted until 48 hours before the class. No cancellations after that time and the fee becomes a donation to the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. Registration is transferrable.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, located on the west side of Scenic 30A in South Walton, offers a wide variety of natural resources including 3.2 miles of secluded, white sand beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall. Three rare coastal dune lakes provide excellent freshwater fishing. Although boats are not allowed, fishing from the shoreline yields bass, bream, panfish, and catfish. Lakes, pristine beaches, old-growth long leaf pines, sand pine scrub, and a variety of wetlands offer a bird-watching and hiking paradise. Visitors may bike, walk, or enjoy a quick ride to the beach on our timely tram service to swim, fish, sunbathe, or beachcomb. Gregory E. Moore RV resort features a (non-heated) swimming pool and shuffleboard courts. Furnished bungalows are available for weekly stays. A camp store offers a variety of camping items, as well as snacks and drinks.
