World Oceans Day Celebration at Gulf World

Millions of people from across our blue planet will celebrate World Oceans Day. Gulf World is excited to host this annual event from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 8th throughout Gulf World’s indoor and outdoor gardens. Guests are invited to take part in this very special day! Have a wonderful day in Gulf World and join us celebrating World Oceans Day.  Regular admission applies. 

Visit with some of our area groups and organizations on hand during the event such as Panama City Beach Turtle Watch, Gulf World Marine Institute, Destination Panama City, Mosquito Control District and Visit Panama City Beach. Educational activities, crafts and face painting will be available for park guests to enjoy. 

Coordinated and promoted internationally by The Ocean Project since 2002, World Oceans Day is an annual celebration on June 8 as well as a call for ocean conservation action throughout the year. The United Nations officially recognized World Oceans Day when its General Assembly passed a resolution in late 2008. This unique celebration of our world ocean brings together organizations and key individuals from aquariums, museums, youth groups, schools and universities, businesses, and others, including divers, surfers, sailors, communities of faith, artists, the maritime, recreational and tourism industries, governments, and more. Gulf World Marine Park creates memorable experiences for the entire family through entertaining animal shows, fascinating exhibits and hands-on interaction with marine life. Gulf World hosts special events and live concerts in addition to daily animal shows and interactive programs.

Every day is show day! The park is open daily from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. rain or shine.
