Dear Everyone--
Please forgive me for hijacking the playground quarrel to get back to my previous hijack and the thread at hand.
Sarcastically,

Yay! So I'll save money then.
Honestly, a Kindle2 might be next.... I am very intrigued.
I have the Kindle I. It is my most prized posession. I carry it almost everywhere and I'm never without something to read.
I have never coveted an electronic device like I've coveted Kindle2 and iPhone, but the Kindle2 brings mixed passions--I LOVE the idea of always having a book, but I also love my hardback book collection. I am reluctant to see them outdated.
With the possible success of Kindle, I see books going the way of the photo album. I used to love to sit down with my family's photo albums and look at pictures, but now we rarely print them out.
Ouch! That sounds kinda' pricey. I do love the iphone my friend has. I'm pretty sure it can cook supper for 12 and clean her house at the same time.
However I really don't like always being "in touch", "wired in" or even available all the time. I've been known to turn my cell phone off occasionally or even leave it in the car. I didn't realize how much money I was saving.
My friend/co-worker (who has an iPhone) and I discussed this recently. He said he hates the people who are always glued to their iPhones, Crackberries, etc. but then his last job required him to have one. He said that the smart phone technology and time management has literally changed his life. I told him that I was afraid that I would spend all the time I managed by figuring out my phone or playing with it. He said that was not the case for him. I'm interested...I could use some time management, and I'm curious as to how a phone can change that for me.
I don't have cell service at school, by the way. From 7:45-3:30, I don't get calls or text messages. I love that. (My coworker is in the office next door, so he doesn't have service, either. But he still uses his iPhone for other things, and he has it synced with his computer.)
This is the coworker that says he only pays $80 for service.
