BTW, My understanding is that Verizon is working on getting iPhones, so for all of you entering contracts with AT&T just to get the iPhone, you may want to reconsider.

Last word I heard was it would start rolling out today in phases.
I was in the At&T store asking a zillion questions about this new IPhone that is waaaaay too technical for me....anyway, they said Ida (the storm that almost was) interfered with 3G progress, and they were shooting for having it up "before the end of the year.":roll:

When my AT&T contract ends in Febuary I will switch to Verizon! Thanks for all the info.

See above - it seems AT&T is like a lot of other "big service" companies. You get it when they feel like it and sales people are the last to know.
Word on the street is that they were delayed due to Tropical Storm Ida. Who knows?
Surely that is just an excuse since Ida delayed no one more than a day or two.
