CR395 and US Hwy 98 Intersection Improvements

Upgrade and improvement of the intersection of CR395 and US Hwy 98. The intersection improvements generally include the widening of the northbound and southbound approaches to include additional laneage.

The northbound approach will add a designated left turn lane and the southbound approach will add a designated right turn lane and striped median.

Other improvements include the extension of existing side drains cross CR395; milling and resurfacing of existing pavement; and traffic signal modifications consisting of one (1) signal head replacement, one (1) signal head relocation, pull box relocations, traffic loop replacement, and wiring.

What about 395 and 30a ? Is there a plan there? The recently completed repaving project of 30A east of 395 stopped way short of 395.

Last word was a right turn lane for 30A on the eastern approach to 395.

About damn time. They should have had the foresight to do this when 98 was widened and the traffic lights went in. Better late than never.

So short sighted to only have a left turn lane and signal on the south side. Even with a right turn lane on the north side it will still take multiple light cycles to get to 98 at Bay dropoff and pickup.

Yes - I don't get it. I understand budgets and job security but this makes no sense.
