Two Post-Season Beach Vendors' meetings

Please be notified that the Walton County Tourist Development Council Beach Code Enforcement staff will be holding two separate meetings for the Post-Season Beach Vendors' meetings. The first meeting will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. and the second meeting will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The meetings will be held at the South Walton Annex located at 31 Coastal Centre Blvd., Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

The purpose of these meetings is to discuss the 2018 beach vending season and general beach vending issues.

All current and prospective beach vendors are encouraged to attend one of the scheduled meetings. Two or more Walton County Elected or Appointed Officials may attend. These meetings are open to the public.

TDC Beach Code Enforcement Public Workshop

Please be notified that the Walton County Tourist Development Council Beach Code Enforcement staff will be holding a Public Workshop for Beach Vendors on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. The workshop will be held in the South Walton Annex Board Room located at 31 Coastal Centre Blvd., Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The purpose of the workshop is to provide the opportunity of an open forum to discuss general beach vending issues. All current and prospective beach vendors are encouraged to attend the meeting, but it is NOT mandatory. Two or more Walton County elected or appointed officials may attend. These meetings are open to the public. Please email Tricia@visitsouthwalton.com with any questions or suggestions.

September 20th at 10am is a post season vendor meeting and September 25th at 5pm is an important workshop related to beach activities and enforcement. They are both opportunities to express your perspectives on beach vendor setups. Be part of the solution. The meeting on the 17th was cancelled. Both of the scheduled meetings are being held at the South Walton Annex.

I agree that there should be as much outrage as there is against customary use. Allowing private interests to take over the public beach is the same.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a turnout. I guess I don't understand people's priorities.
