Coming down later this month and desperately need a resource to rent a beach wheelchair. I am wheelchair confined and my beach wheelchair source I 've used previously, has retired. I have rented a house in Grayton. I can't get my toes in the sand without a beach chair. Can anyone out there , or down there, help me?

I have seen only one beach wheelchair down here, and it was last year in the summer. I asked the guy where he rented something like that. If I recall correctly, he said he received it at no charge from some State program. Today, I do not recall which state, but I want to say it was Alabama. I searched online for the program immediately after talking to the guy, but I never found the source online. Good Luck.
Edgewater Beach Resort in Panama City Beach used to have beach chairs with the large wheels for the sand. They might be a resource for you.
Also check with Walton Chamber of Commerce as they might offer some assistance or information on a vendor.

Check with the TDC. I thought they had one, but maybe I'm mistaken. Surely someone there should know where to rent one. 850-267-3511

SJ, I believe they are located across from Butler Elem.
The name on that business was FantaSea Rentals, but maybe they had a second name, too. I am not sure. Anyway, they are out of business at that location. I am glad they moved on because I don't like the idea of this place buzzing with rental scooters and carts operated by people who do not know how to properly operate the rentals. If I am not mistaken, FantaSea rentals still has their main store on old 98 in Miramar Beach or Destin.
