Eastern Lake beach access

Does anyone know what is happening with the Eastern Lake public beach access? Are they just redoing it or is it gone for good? My mother was down there last week and said it was all gone (boardwalk, footwash, steps, etc.) Just wondering if anyone knows what's up.

Thanks SJ, yes it is being rebuilt and will be complete by April 30th at the latest.
