Lucaidia (sp?) NYSE: LUK steps in to buy the bay county airport site after original buy couldn't get financing.

LUK developed Rosemary and are a very interesting company that has a long history of value creation...i would say good for the future prospects of bay county and maybe validates JOE a bit?

From what I understand, the transfer fees are .5% of all future sales. The article mentions an "unspecified amount," but I guess that relates to actual dollars.

No wonder they have a long history of value creation , just one example, if they claim valuable public beaches as their own 'private use only' beaches, that certainly couldn't hurt their prospects. I know that's the other thread but it is the same company, right?:dunno:

Leucadia is also the parent company of ResortQuest. They purchased it from Gaylord Entertainment. Condos anyone ???
