Here's our new menu.....Doug has put sandwiches &
Po-Boys on the Dinner Menu and lowered prices. We have gorgeous views of the Gulf and Sunsets to die for. The original Veggie Sandwich is back. We have a great Fry Cook (from Bayou Bill's) and now serve Fried Seafood Baskets and platters.....and yummy Fried Crab Claws! In our little parking lot to the west end of the D&K's Cafe we have a marked parking spot for take-out orders....so no looking for parking when you want to drop in to pick-up your lunch or dinner!

I know I shouldnt have opend up this messeage, now I am so hungry I cant stand it!!!. I think we are heading down that way this weekend to do some diving and will have to make a stop at our fav. place to eat!!:clap:

No Martini Trio appetizer? Say it ain't so!

I know you do what ya gotta do, and I love the sound of the new selections, I've just never had anything quite so heavenly as the MTA. Oh my...

BTW, we're annual visitors (I'm kinda new to the sowal boards), but this year we've convinced another family to come with us who have NEVER been to our riviera before. We live in Augusta, GA, and everyone here vacations in Myrtle Beach, bless their hearts. They just don't know any better. I can't wait to see their faces when they see that water for the first time -- hope it's a calm and emerald day. :D

Half the fun is counting down the days... Three weeks to go...

D&K is our hands-down fave

Just had to post again to say that even without the Martini Trio (I'm over my sobbing now, so I can type again), D&K is our favorite restaurant, well, anywhere. It's almost dorky how much we look forward to it all year!

I would lick the dish that Doug's Seafood Dip comes in, except my mama raised me better than that. The shrimp over grits is so good it makes your mouth mad when you try to eat anything else. In fact, everything we've ever tried has been just perfect -- even my 6-year-old daughter said, "Mama, this pasta is the BEST pasta I've ever had!" Never mind that she likes Kraft Scooby-Doo mac-n-cheese, even a kid knows really good food when she tastes it. And IMO, the key lime pie is the gold standard by which all other key lime pies should be judged...

We can't wait to get there and bring our friends this time. I'm stupidly excited to see fried crab claws on the menu. I'm already expecting them to be better than the best I've ever had (which, incidentally, was from a little hole in the wall called The Lighthouse Restaurant outside Bayou La Batre, AL). D&K is simply the best, and we wish the owners great success -- they've earned it!
