Call your provider....they can check and tweak your settings. I had the best tech when I called AT&T last week. He was from Texas and spent at 2 hours on the phone with me trying to get all our wireless network systems perfect.

If you use network cables do you have the same issue? Troubleshoot to determine if the problem is your connection to the internet, connection from the modem to the router, or your wireless connectivity. The more info you can get the easier it is to determine where to start. Also note what you are doing when the connection drops. Sounds like you have more than one computer going, are they both (all) accessing internet at the same time? Are you downloading stuff?
I had to troubleshoot for a doctor's office one day, found that a site had been hit which was causing huge porn files to be downloaded constantly.

thanks for the quick responses. We only have 2 computers and its my billing software that keeps cutting me off when I access it from the 2nd computer. Computer #1 is the sentinal, has the program and #2 can access all the info wireless but thats where I keep losing connection. Internet is no problem.:dunno:

Do you have the ability to install the program locally on both computers and then access the data from the "server"? Do you lose the computer to computer connection when working in other apps?

My daughter complained of constantly being "kicked offline". The tech told me the original settings were set up so that the network would constantly search for a better connection. He reset them and now no problem. This may not be your problem but they have the ability to see all and fix it.

program is installed on both and then accessed from server. Do not lose computer connection with any other apps. Probably call software company and see if they have a solution???

Do not know what program you have, but quiz the company on what sort of network traffic it needs to operate. Some of these database intensive apps require so much bandwidth that wireless is not an option unless you are getting a really good connection or using the latest N stuff.
