Have no fear - we will be dining in Sowal as well. But we stay in Destin, so I am always looking for recs in both places!

I can remember enjoying brunch at Harry T's previous incarnation a few years back- yummy fruit-stuffed pancakes.

Is Baby J's still open? they were doing well from a business standpoint but had some ongoing zoning/code enforcement issues over a second egress for the barge that led to a big fight with the city of Destin.

Boathouse is a good place to go after a long day on a boat. Great burgers , oysters and really cold beer. Very casual atmosphere. Can get a little crazy/loud later in the evening.

Have you tried the tripadvisor site there is a pretty active Destin group there.

I've heard Baby T's is great and more of a locals place.

The only place we eat at in Destin is Pompano Joes, have not tried any of the ones mentioned, to many places in SOWAL area to have to drive to Destin.
