---ADDITIONAL INFORMATION---

Registration is on the day of the tournament only and is FREE OF CHARGE.

Rods, reels, tackle, bait and rod holders are all donated to the South Walton Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida (CCA) by a generous group of sponsors. These donations are then passed along to the participants in the interest creating a fun, family oriented event that is also educational.

In order to create the feeling of a proper tournament setting, each participant goes through a tournament-style registration process and is then sent off to the beach to compete.

A weigh-in station is assembled on the beach, complete with an official scale, tournament director, FWC "oversight" and a leader board. Granted, it's mostly for show (since we spend a lot of time weighing in crabs, etc.) but the kids enjoy it.

At 12:00 noon the tournamet is ended, and the winners get their name and photos (with winning catch) in the newspaper. The winners receive an official "1st Place" certificate in the mail from the CCA Florida main office in Orlando.

Buckets, bottled water, ice, etc. will be available at the weigh-in for those participating in the event.

This is a non-profit, volunteer driven event that is made possible by the generosity of local sponsors and members of the CCA. Donating to and/or joining CCA is not required to participate. However, should you be interested in donating to or joining the organization, representatives will be on hand to assist.

A raffle for a new pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses (either mens or womens model) will also be available for those interested in winning a new pair of shades (retail $130). Ticket prices are $5.00 each and you can purchase as many as you like.

Please feel free to visit the CCA National website: www.joincca.org and CCA Florida website: www.ccaflorida.org

Thanks again for your interest! We hope to see you on Saturday!

Will someone please loan me a child for this. I ask our boys year after year and they never want to go. Ed and I wind up out there with no kid. We still enjoy it though.

Great job to everyone involved. Great to see kids and parents having so much fun. The gulf was a bit more suited to surfing than fishing but I saw flounder, whiting, catfish and a few little Bonnethead sharks caught.

It was one of those rare days when the gulf waves are entering the lake. It's a good thing there wasn't anything in the gulf we didn't want in the lake.
