Apalachicola recommendations?

Any suggestions for "shouldn't miss" highlights that we should include on a day-trip to Apalachicola? Thanks in advance for all tips!

Seafood!

Just walk around the town and you'll see it all. Tamara's cafe is excellent.

I'm enough of a geek that I enjoyed the John Gorrie Museum. If you're interested in inventors and inventions, it's worth walking through.

Don't miss Up the Creek Raw Bar on Water Street - best grouper in town and very pocketbook friendly! Owl Cafe is great for more money. I love that town!

A few years agowe liked lunch at Boss Oyster. Its on the dock and the fish and oysters come from the area.

I second Up the Creek Raw Bar, and the Owl Cafe - try the crab did there! yum yum. YOu can buy the spices from them and make your own.

If the opprotunity arises, try to work in brunch at Caroline's. The mimosa's are fantastic.

The great part about Apalachicola is that it isn't very big. Just get out of your car and you can walk and see most everything in half a day. The shops, the restaurants, the bars,and, what I love the most, the old Victorian homes, are all together with a very slow-paced attitude.
