Does anybody know why they have been clearing a large square of the Pt Washington State Forest just north of Publix--hope they are not selling off state land.:dunno:

It is a Chelco power substation or some such facility being built on an easement.

It sure would have been nice for them to have left a buffer of trees.

...because there was an existing easement that until recently had never been cleared.

Believe me I'd rather have the trees, but I bet this easement has been around for a long long time...

Agreed. Maybe it will get some landscaping upon completion. Just glad it isn't a Taco Bell.

I just love it when they raze nature in order to properly landscape. Lets get some of those Bloom Boxes and be done with it!


I don't think utility companies do any landscaping. Unless you count stumps, logs, signs, posts, pipes, flags, poles, fluorescent tape, transformers . . .
