driving directions from Tuscaloosa, AL

Any reccommendations or short cuts driving from Tuscaloosa, AL to 30a?
Normally, I come from MS and go 45 South but I have to meet a friend from Birmingham and it looks like Tuscaloosa is the best place.

Head down I-65 south to Georgiana (exit 113 I think), then southeast through Andalusia, Florala, Defuniak & right down into SoWal. Good roads, few towns to slow you down, usually little traffic.

Ditto what passin thru says - that is the way I use anytime I use I-65.

Thank you both! I will take your advice b/c the other route I was looking at seemed to have lots of small towns.
