SoWalers, One of our own needs our prayers and support.
Amber Cook, a graduate of Freeport High and has been working along 30A for the last 10 years at various businesses and is currently working at "Pearls Gone Wild". She is married to Jamie and has two small children 10 and 4 years old and lived with her Grandmother, taking care of her until her passing last winter.
Amber is one of the very sweetest people you would ever be blessed to meet
Last week she was diagnosed with a tumor on the front of her brain that has caused her to suffer blindness without medication. Amber will be under going surgery in Pensacola on Friday and all of our thoughts and prayers, need to go out to her and her family.
Monatary donations will be taken over the next weeks to off set lost wages by Amber and her husband during her recovery, we'll have a bucket for her here at "Seacrest Sundries" as will other merchants along 30A. A benefit is in the planning stage and direct donations can be made in her name at "Regions Bank".
Please keep Amber and her family in your thoughts as she goes through this difficult time.
