Are there any restaurants open on Christmas?

Hi:

We will be happily spending our first Christmas in SoWal this year. We'll be flying in Christmas day and will have dinner in SoWal. Since Publix is likely to be closed on Christmas (we won't be able to buy food to cook dinner), are any restaurants open on 30A for dinner on Christmas?

We ate a fine meal at Fish out of Water on Crhistmas Day last year. The food was delicious, and the service first rate. Do call and make a reservation though.

We usually come down on the 27th. But this year I am teaching a robotics class that starts on January 2, so we won't be here as long. Fish Out Of Water is a great choice!

Fortunately, I was able to arrange my teaching to start later in January so we can stay a bit longer. It will be great for us to be able to be there longer than usual.

My favorite Christmas in recent years included a trip to SoWal early Christmas morning! We had our family Christmas dinner at Fish Out of Water....it was fantastic!!!

Restaurants will be announcing their holiday hours in December. We'll hear from them on the forum and also SoWal staff will be doing some research to be sure we provide good info about restaurants and Christmas Day.

Paula: Ditto to what Teresa said, and from my many years of experience living in SoWal, you will find quite a few places for dining on Christmas. It has typically been a slower time, as Thanksgiving and New Years are packed, but probably one of the most beautiful times of year to visit! You are right Susan! Christmas in SoWal is kind of quiet but wonderful.

Paula: I hate to admit this but I bought a pan of lasagna from Onano last Xmas eve so I wouldn't have to cook on Xmas day. It was so delicious. All I had to do was salad and bread.

We will have wine, and baskets of summer sausage, cheese and walk on the beach and it will work just fine.
