Unfortunately it looks like we simply accept unethical conduct from elected officials as the way politics are supposed to work. In the Daily News this morning, the headline is about an Okaloosa County commissioner who is being charged with perjury and misconduct. Reading further, a name poped up of a developer that all too frequently appears in investigations of wrongdoing, who has also contributed to Walton County officials. Of course the commissioner is simply being told he was a bad boy and not to do it again.

If you are talking about James Campbell, I am not sure where you got the highlighted portion, if you could post your source I would appreciate it. Thanks

A charge of 'misdemeanor perjury' is tantamount to a slap on the wrist.

If the guy can get the right judge to dismiss the other charges it might go the same way another trial went. A judge in Leon County dismissed theft charges against some 'fellas' but in doing so he went on to say: Not enough evidence, but you must pay back the money that you did steal". And OJ didn't murder anybody. He just caused the death of a couple of people.

Isn't it interesting that money from the Six million dollar hangar man seems to find it's way to elected officials. Not only in Okaloosa County but Walton as well?
