Will be at Grayton Beach SP on Saturday. I have been watching the beach cams for about a week now. There has been purple flying every day. I understand that this means marine animals are present but does anyone know if there is something specific?

Also - how is the June grass looking at the moment?

Thanks

Jellyfish, like Marla said. I'll tell you though, I think they ran those flags up a few weeks back when some Mano'war were around. Three days at the beach last weekend and yes, there are kajillions of jellyfish present, however, I think 99% do not sting. Only a few times did I feel any stinging, and it was that vague burning irritation that goes away quickly. So no jelly problems. Saw lots of grass at Grayton, relative to Seagrove, but given the fact that we are flirting with July, the amount of grass is trivial. And I'm sure the Grayton patch could easily wash away. I predict the water will be great for you.
