Long time Swinging Breezes on 30a east of seaside is now a wow. We almost stayed there but got bumped by a snowbird. Noticed it was being refurbished last month and to see it this week is a treat. Instead of a 4 story monster it so tastefully done. Don't know if it will be a rental but it is a pleasure to look at it.

Lots of remodeling going on. I know of one in WaterColor just finished that was $2 million. Amazing considering the home was about ten years old.

Hey Kurt. Houses here that aren't gray, taupe, or pastel on the exterior need repainting every 5-10 years. A heavily rented house will need new interior paint every 2 years. Its floors will need refinishing after 5. "Functional obsolescence" is what we realtors say when we mean "old and ugly looking kitchens." There is a loooooot of functional obsolescence with the Arvida built houses; not to mention Seaside, Old Seagrove, Grayton, all of the West End... Plus, a lot of owners who rent their homes here pump and dump their houses. The area is ripe for remodels, when the price is right. Maybe "Property Brothers" can come do a show here.
