If you find yourself drifting toward Destin, I'd also suggest trying out a bit of the local Thai restaurant scene. I always liked Jasmine Thai over by Home Depot/Fresh Market, and Thai Basil by Destin Publix seems to be getting some good buzz.

I have recently discovered the fried green tomatoes at Graffiti in Baytowne. With crawfish and crabmeat in a garlic cream sauce. Wow!
