1/2 cent sales tax sunsetting

Any comments on the 1/2 cent sales tax sunsetting. Amazing that in 2 years that it produced $25 millions. I'd be interested to know if there is a way to track where the majority was collected, although I would guess it would be the south end.

I have only to say I'm glad the referendum passed creating the sales tax. The opposition to the bridge and tax was vociferous and strong and now, it has been proven they were misguided. Walton County is much better for what has transpired and, others helped the local residents pay for it, regardless of where most of the funds were generated.

Found an article from 2012 saying that the outlet mall did $180 million in sales annually, and figure that they've had modest increases since then to $200M, and you get your first million in tax revenue a year.
