Last night a fire broke out during dinner service at Borago. All were evacuated and no one was injured. The building received damage from flames, smoke, and flooding. We hope and pray our friends at both businesses recover quickly!

Not so much fire damage but plenty of smoke and water damage.

Fire and evacuation happened in the middle of dinner. Looks like it started from electrical short at upstairs AC unit.

That sucks, especially for the staff that is most likely already squeaking by with the end of season.

There are two a/c units in the upstairs office, one for Boragos, and one for Lily Pads. Our a/c unit is wall mounted (one of those Mitsubishi a/c units). I believe the one mentioned above by Kurt was the unit for Boragos.

We went and looked at the damage in our office upstairs and while we lost a few electronics, we didn't lose anything we cant easily replace. I hope none of the artists that sell from Lily Pads have any losses, and we at Blue Sun Properties and Premier 30A Rentals hope that the staff at Boragos is back up and serving world class cuisine in no time.

Our thanks to the South Walton Fire Department for containing and minimizing the damage from the fire. We had not even started working from the office on a regular basis yet, but we will continue to operate from our Panama City Beach office.

We were headed there our next visit, in October. Hope this will be shortlived for them. Ellen
