‘Twas The Night Of The Crawl
‘Twas the night of the GRAYT Santa Crawl and all through Grayton Beach,
The sounds of live bands, DJ’s and HO’ HO’ HO’s screeched
The decorations were hung by the bar owners with care.
Knowing The GRAYT Santa Pub Crawlers soon would be there,
The children were nestled all snug in their beds;
Babysitters to watch over, as their parents paint Grayton Red,
And Mama as Sexy Mrs. Clause and I in my Santa cap,
Were anxious for Grinch drinks and Graytons holiday beers on tap,
Stop #1 - Red Bar serving FREE Chicken fingers on a platter,
I pre-registered my wristband so check- in was no matter!
Away to the bar I flew like a flash,
Glad I remembered to grab my ID and a little tip cash.
The moon on our white beaches almost looking like snow,
Gave the luster of a White Winter through Red Bars Red glow;
When, what to our wondering eyes should appear,
Our Beach Boy’s Shuttle Sleigh Rides starting to draw near,
To Grayton Brewery – Stop #2 – The shuttle ride would be quick,
Stocked with - snacks, Jello-Shots, FIREBALL, & H20 THAT’s the trick (stay hydrated!).
Up to Grayton Brewery –The GRAYT pub crawlers they came,
Famous tunes of New Orleans Band, Voodoo Gumbo by name,
“Now, Cindy Lou Hoo! now, Frosty! now Uncle Eddy you Vixen!
They’ll soon announce the HUGE COSTUME PRIZE WINNERS, you better all listen!
To the WINDOOOOOOW! To the WAAAALLLL!
"Now dance away! Dance away! Dance away all!"
As shuttles they load – to wild Hurricane’s we fly,
Stop #3 - FREE Grinch Cocktail’s, & POP STOP Liquor POPS amply supplied;
So cheers, bottoms up and down the Grinch drinks they flew.
BUT Stay responsible GRAYT Santa’s,
You’re responsible for you.
80’s Cover Band & wild dancing, Modus Photography has the proofs,
The prancing and pawing of each little “hoof.”
The GRAYT Santa Pub Crawl, it’s the best crawl in town,
I lost count of how many live bands, drink specials, & fun folks all abound.
Stop #4 – Pandora’s, we twkered there on foot,
If we got a bit tipsy we took a break and stayed put;
With cinnamon toast crunch shots and all the Mac & Cheese you can stuff back,
Brandon at Pandora’s knows just how to welcome our pack.
The costume’s – how they twinkled! You wouldn’t believe how merry.
Dressed in naughty or nice and so extra EXTRAordinary!
One naughty male crawler dressed As “ GIFT in a Box” from the SNL show,
With only a tiny present covering his…………..…well you know.
A lady crawler came as the 5 Golden “Late Night Bling’s”
That can only mean one thing.
Crawlers gathered in photos, grinning, smiling with teeth,
Social media hash tagging #GRAYTSPC2015 Beneath;
If you didn’t catch the Drake tune be ashamed you old elf ,
I laugh’d when I wrote it, pretty proud of myself;
Pre-register your spot, don’t miss the memories ahead,
So much is included and YET so much still to be said!

As the GRAYT Santa Pub Crawl somberly comes to a close,
We gazed down at our Mark Douglas Caricature mementos.
A beautiful reminder of why The GRAYT Santa Pub Crawl exists,
Brining our salty locals together to support local business;
So when I heard someone proclaim, I echoed out loud with a cheer—
“Thank you GRAYTON HOST’s, let’s do it all again next year!”
