Dark stains in the water

I've been monitoring the South Walton beach cams and have noticed large dark areas in otherwise clear water. Is this seaweed or brackish water from the lakes?

Seaweed. Been moving in heavy patches.

there's this strange thing called bait fish, they tend to ball up and look out for each other

Seaweed, collects and then gets gradually dispersed by tide changes. If you look closely, areas adjacent to the patches will be crystal clear. Watch the wind direction.

The vibrations from doing so run off crabs, rays, flounder etc. Two of those are worse than a stain in your shorts.
