15 people attending a meeting about our beaches, the TDC expecting vendors to self-regulate...the lunatics running the asylum will continue. When people don't expect better from the BCC they have no right to complain about the beaches they have lost.
Gingersnap said, "If you have specific complaints or comments, please attend. If you cannot attend, please send emails to the TDC and the BCC indicating specifically what you are dissatisfied with. If they don't hear from us, they don't think there are any problems. The TDC is now formulating their recommendations for any changes for next season. They will present them to the TDC Advisory Board on Oct 4 and then to the BCC on Oct 11."

Many people stop trying to change things because it often takes consistency and perseverance over a lengthy period of time and/or the suggestions/concerns/complaints do not get conveyed to the right people. Don't give up. Keep giving input (constructively) to the commissioners and the TDC. Many of them pay more attention to your opinions than you may think. Think Hampton Inn for one of the best examples we have. Make sure that any "facts" you present are actually facts, not just your opinion.
