30A SHUT DOWN WEST OF COUNTY HIGHWAY 283 AT ALLIGATOR LAKE
SWFD units responded to a single vehicle accident this morning and upon arrival found a pick up truck with a single occupant had driven into a portion of 30a that had collapsed sometime overnight. The patient was treated and transported to the hospital. Currently Walton County Sheriff's Office is on scene at the location just west of County Highway 283 on County Highway 30A. The hole is on County Highway 30a and runs culvert to culvert near the lake and is approximately 50 feet long, 75 feet wide and about 15 feet deep. Walton County Public Works has been notified. Currently, 30a is shut down at 283. WCSO remains on scene to divert traffic. Expect delays and please plan an alternate route this am. Thank you for your patience.
