How much money collected for employees after fire at Borago’s?
I'm not sure what your point is

Let us support our neighbors in any way we can.. It's what makes our community so amazing. I am overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support coming from so many different directions including our many restaurants. Oli's team of staff is a pretty big number of people who have been working with him for a long time. Some of them are long time employees who have helped make Redbar such a great place to be over many years.

The public has this incredible feeling of ownership of The Red Bar. Unlike any other place. It is a bizarre and wonderful thing to see. Was it the music that pulled us all together here? The food? The old building and decor? I don't know. But it is special.

If I recall Borago moved fairly quickly into Nick's in BMB to continue their operations and then to the 331 location for a while while opening a NEW restaurant in the original building... They were busy trying out new things before moving back to their original spot. While we loved the new Abrazo, I am thankful they are back as Borago and doing well. Another great place we are fortunate to have in Grayton Beach. Truly a favorite for so many locals and visitors. I don't know if there were any fundraisers for employees but I am very sure that the community was very supportive of their endeavors in ways we'll never know. We adore Borago.

Thousands of people gathered Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Grayton Beer Company to show their support for The Red Bar and its 100+ employees who are rebounding after an early morning fire destroyed the Grayton Beach restaurant on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. The Red Bar Employee Benefit Concert raised a total of $27,590.56.

Following news of the fire a number of local individuals and local businesses rallied their resources to plan The Red Bar Employee Benefit Concert at the Grayton Beer Company Taproom. The five-hour event included the local bands Forrest Williams Band, TKO, The Wildlife Specials, Cadillac Willy, and guest performances by Fritz, Tanner Gray of The Graytones, Andi and Kevin Johnson, and more.

The event would not have been possible without the expeditious and complementary assistance from a number of area businesses including Shofar Stage Productions, South Walton Reef Association, Oyster City Brewing Company, Grayton Beer Company, Grayton Beer Brewpub, Cultural Arts Alliance, Proffitt PR, The Lewis Bear Company, AJ’s Grayton Beach, and Johnny on the Spot.

"Our brothers and sisters at The Red Bar needed the community to step up and they did so in spades,” said Jamey Price, President & Founder of Grayton Beer Company. “The scale of this Benefit Concert would normally take months of planning. A very dedicated group pulled it off in less than a day. It was our goal to bridge the gap between the fire and The Red Bar employees finding employment. We made great strides on Sunday."

For those who were unable to attend the event, but still wish to donate, can do so by visiting Click here to support OFFICIAL REDBAR GO FUND ME FOR EMPLOYEES organized by Sants Mark. This is the only GoFundMe account that is officially endorsed by The Red Bar.
