Have any of ya'll in Grayton Beach had problems with late night music coming from AJ's? Specifically, have you been able to hear music or voices from AJ's after 10pm "that is plainly audible from within an occupied residence"?

We have had guests complain, been given bad Trip Advisor reviews and had to refund guests for their stay because of the sound. While we have tried to sort this out with Alan Laird, the owner of AJ's, we have found him unwilling to take responsibility for disturbing our guests by failing to comply with the Walton County Noise Ordinance https://www.co.walton.fl.us/DocumentCenter/View/1367.

If anyone else is being disturbed by the loud music coming from AJ's, please let us know. If it is disturbing you, it is almost certainly disturbing our guests. Perhaps we can solve this problem together.

What does WCSO say about it? Have they brought decibel meters? The noise may be under limits but any bit of noise is going to disturb some guests you have. Seems like any business next to a B&B should have to stop music at 9pm.
Too bad business owners can't be more like Oli - he respects the neighbors of The Red Bar and does whatever he needs to do to keep the peace.

One of my neighbors has been complaining about it. I'll have them contact you.

What is in the Gratyon Beach Neighborhood plan? Doesn't music have to lowered and end at a specific time?

Supply your guests with earplugs. People there and on Grayton Trails have been fussing about the noise for years now (coming from Pandora's before AJ's).
In the recent past, Pandora's and others have listened to neighbors and worked with them. There are weddings at Monet Monet and other things going on, and the community has always worked things out.
